Courtney Unangst loves to help people build wealth. An investor herself, she believes owning property is one of the most stable, effective way for anyone to achieve their dreams, big or small. Courtney is an end-to-end partner in the buying and selling process, initially focusing on the big-picture financial and property goals with clients to be sure the strategy is on target. Her years of experience have taught her that the results are in the details, so she personally oversees the entire transaction to ensure the outcome matches the intention. A Certified Negotiation Expert, she brings her unique insights and tenacity to be sure her clients are making the most of the opportunity. From first-time homebuyers to luxury sellers and seasoned investors, Courtney gives every client the benefit of her relentless drive and commitment to high-level service.

Courtney began her real estate career early, just a few years out of the University of Colorado. After honing her sales and marketing skills with Proctor & Gamble, a move to Austin with her husband offered an opportunity to explore a new career. She began investing in real estate and staging homes to take advantage of the booming local market. A chance meeting with broker David Brodsky at a Home and Garden show inspired a powerful partnership and they went on to form David Brodsky Properties after six years together at Keller Williams.

A passionate mentor and leader, Courtney has built a team of agents and professionals processing $25-30 million worth of deals annually. Each team member embraces the shared philosophies of wealth-building, sound financial strategies, integrity and service, with plenty of hustle for good measure. In addition to serving their own clients, Michelle Browning, June Clark, Sarah Hathaway and Sheryl Steen also support the entire team to be sure that every agency client benefits from their experience and connections.

Courtney and her husband Matt, an AMD executive, have two young boys and live on several acres in Driftwood. In July 2023, Courtney gave birth to twin girls, adding more joy to their family! They regularly welcome friends and family to visit and enjoy the Hill Country. They have embraced the Austin area as home, enticing several family members to join them. As seasoned travelers, the Unangsts will find any excuse to hop on a plane and travel the globe, boys and twins in tow. They also love to explore the country in their RV. Regardless of where they roam, they’re always thrilled to come home and settle back in to their beloved Central Texas.

We love working with Courtney Unangst! This was our second time working with her. She very knowledgeable about the Austin market and helped us handle a sale of a home and purchase of a new home.

Courtney Unangst has proven to us (after several real estate agents) that she is the MOST professional, polite and friendly one. Thanks to her we were able to find and buy a house in this crazy 2021 market, which we thought would have been impossible. Courtney is also GREAT at crunching FAST paced numbers which is a must have skill in a Realtor. Thanks Courtney!

Excellent experience

We started working with Courtney before covid, and she gave us a comprehensive list of work to do to get the house ready. A few weeks before listing the house, the covid restrictions started. There was so much uncertainty, with the rules seeming to change day to day. We weren't sure if we'd be able to sell. Courtney stayed on top of what needed to be done to comply with the changing rules, and kept us updated. I don't think we could have made it through all that without her. Thank you, Courtney!

I always love to open and transparent communication during the process! I always felt comfortable reaching out and asking my 'dumb' questions. Everyone always made me feel heard and understood. I greatly appreciated the support and positivity!

This was the highest quality care we could have ever received from an agent during the process of buying a home in Austin, TX. Courtney Unangst at David Brodsky Properties was a gem who took her time to walk us through everything, and make us feel she had our best interest in mind the whole way. She helped us protect ourselves and make the right moves during the buying process.

We are ecstatic at the deal we got on a great starter home in south Austin, and this was due to her connections with the best of the best mortgage lenders, title company etc.. as well as her business savvy working with sellers and other agents. If you get her as your agent you just won the real estate lottery! Not sure how we got so lucky! We trust her so much & will never be able to go with anyone else in the future!! TY!!!

I've been looking for a house to purchase on/off since around 2015 but couldn't ever quite pull the trigger with any agents or through Redfin. I was recommended this brokerage by a good friend. While I requested Courtney, I ended up with June C (as Courtney was going out on maternity leave) and couldn't have been happier. June and I started working together Feb 2018 and saw probably over 40 houses together, from Round Rock all the way to South Austin and everything west to east in between. She brought me to many different styles of homes and we ended up landing with DR Horton with a new build to be completed in late 2018, signing papers to put a $1000 earnest hold in May 2018.

From May to December, June and I met sporadically to check in on the house as we saw it built from the ground up: foundation, plumbing, framing, drywall, floors, cabinetry, and final walkthrough. I went through a devastating breakup with my significant other in Nov, a month before I was about to close and seriously considered pulling my contract. She took me out for happy hour and listened me to me rationalize my way through my pain. June said she would support me in whatever decision I chose. I ultimately decided to purchase the house for me and went under contract to close.

Over a year later, I still love my house and wouldn't have changed anything. June has continued to keep in touch and we've gotten lunch recently and have enjoyed developing a friendship out of an otherwise professional relationship.

Needless to say, I recommend David Brodsky for their great service and amazingly friendly and supportive team!

Selling a home is stressful especially during a pandemic and social unrest but Courtney and her team at DBP are complete pros and put all my worries to rest. All information was presented clearly and my expectations were expertly managed. We had a few snags along the way with the initial buyers pulling out but Courtney had a plan and we persevered. I highly recommend Courtney and the DBP team and expect that I'll be working with them again in the future!

Courtney was extremely professional, patient and communicative throughout the entire selling process! It was a little difficult for me due to living out-of-state, but she assisted me throughout the whole process and was able to obtain a full-price offer within one week of the listing - I would highly recommend her.
